Awesome game, they just get better as the series goes on

A great amazing game especially for the first time

Great game, too bad it took me 30 minutes to play through it :-(. They should give you all 4 games for 4.99, not just one chapter! Great fun to play, not enough content.

Obsessed with this game. Kinda sad that I finished the whole series. I hope they make something similar. So many different options and outcomes. Got really immersed.

This game is an essential for everyone I know interested in the RPG genre. The choose your adventure book playstyle makes this whole series a must own. This series needs more promotion to achieve the greatness it deserves!

No thought to strategy. Just a series of random choices and character deaths. Game lasts 2 hours at best then they want another 5 bucks.

Very disappointed! Game play lasts only about an hour. Very few game play choices.

Its a joy to see those beautiful illustrations again; as for the game itself its better than ever on a touch screen and the mechanics are great. All the fun of a pen and paper rpg without the hassle; just bought the trilogy and I cant wait to play some more.

The game is fun. It is a little short, but the variety that you get through different play throughs makes it worth your money.

I really wanted an adventure game to play. I played through the game once and I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it so much I have also played with the book with my girlfriend. I noticed several things are different between the book and the app but I think most are for the better... Like why would a witch give you rewards then attack you right before you leave her cottage? I hope the second installment arrives sooner than later. On a side note, on this version of the app I believe I encountered a bug with the encounter with the assassin which instantly died... Oh well... Thats the only bug I found. Otherwise the game is fun, can be replay able without bore... I just hope that my previous save is not destroyed by starting anew.

What a great game! Havent read the books, but this was amazing anyways! Only thing was that some monsters when fighting his their strength bar thing, which made it annoying to fight. Thats the only problem Ive had with this game!

Been playing for hours, the developers do have put their time in this game: impressive artworks, musics, combat system, it just feels like it. And yes, I can see the reason it is being too short, their are lots of texts in this game, $5 might be a bit of costly, but this is a game that definitely worth trying and will mostly make your money worth. (And: please make the second episode! a few more items could make this game more awesome!）:)

Its beautiful, its fun, and uniquely different. And I get that a Lot of effort must have been put in o this. But cmon. $5? For such a minimal amount of gameplay, dont get me wrong, it was fun, but ridiculously short. I thought I had just finished a chapter and was moving on to the next when all of a sudden it just ended. I almost feel cheated. I could have spent a little more and gotten another final fantasy and played for weeks. I hope the next isnt quite as expensive, or if it is, at least be considerably longer. Ill definitely be more mindful of the reviews...

Great game, even better presentation. If u played the book as a kid this is a great way to re-experience it. The second part cannot come out sooner!

Its a really fun game but Ive experienced a few annoying crashes. Also it would be great if you could add expansions to make the game longer and add more things.

This game is basically a fantasy version of a choose your own adventure book. The story is interesting and there is are simple but engaging battle and spell casting systems. The artwork is also amazing, as it includes much of the original artwork as well as a nice new world map. Cons are that the game has limited replayability, since at points where you have to choose between options there is usually only two choices; and the fact that the game stops at a point that does not resolve any of the main storyline, making it so you have to buy the next chapter(s) to be able to experience anything more than a very thin introduction to your characters quest. All in all I would recommend this game to fantasy fans who are interested in a more traditional RPG experience.
